The coronavirus that has caused a global epidemic after spreading worldwide with more than a lakh people said to be affected and death toll placed close to three thousand. A rumour started doing the rounds that legendary superstar Jackie Chan has been affected by the virus and is quarantined in a hospital in Hong Kong.

Jackie Chan has clarified on his social media post "Thanks for everybody's concern! I'm safe and sound, and very healthy. Please don't worry, I'm not in quarantine. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy too!".

Jackie Chan's new movie 'Vanguard' directed by Stanley Tong and costarring Yang Yang and Miya Muqi was scheduled to be released on January 25th but has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak.
