Is this the release plan of Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Doctor’?

Rising Star Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in the superhero flick ‘Hero’, is starring in the upcoming biggie ‘Doctor’ helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila fame. Sivakarthikeyan also produced the movie under his banner ‘Sivakarthikeyan Productions’, whereas KJR Studios served as the co-producer and distributor.

The film also stars Vinay Rai, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Yogi Babu, Ilavarasu, Milind Soman, Arun Alexander, Sunil Reddy, and Reddin Kingsley. The music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the cinematography was performed by Vijay Kartik Kannan, and editing by R. Nirmal.

This movie marks the Kollywood debut of super cute Priyanka Arul Mohan. This is Rockstar Anirudh’s sixth collaboration with SK and second collaboration with Nelson. Three songs from the soundtrack were released and became a huge hit.

Touted to be a medical thriller, the makers initially planned for a theatrical release on March 26 but got delayed due to the ongoing pandemic. When Doctor was planned to be released the movie directly on Disney+Hotstar, the plan didn’t work out as the satellite rights with Sun Tv but not Star Vijay.

Now, some inside sources claim that Doctor will release on Netflix in September and will have a television premiere on Sun TV this Diwali. However, we have to wait for the official word from the team.
