In the first match of IPL 2019 to be held on March 23 in Chennai, Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore. The schedule for the first two weeks has been released by the IPL on Tuesday.
The schedule, however, is subject to the announcement of the Lok Sabha 2019 election dates. “Once the election dates are released we will address any issues with the first two weeks and also prepare a schedule for the remainder of the season working with the local authorities around the polling dates,” the IPL stated.
During the two week period, a total of 17 matches will be played across the hometowns of the 8 franchises.
