Poland had recently accepted India’s request to let its citizens from Ukraine take shelter in the country without any visa restrictions. The Embassy of India in Poland, meanwhile, has given the Indian students details of their accommodation and guided them to reach the location after crossing over the border.
“Information for Indian citizens in Ukraine desiring to be evacuated via Poland: Once people are able to cross over the border, they should reach the below location 250 beds ready at Hotel Prezydencki, ul. Podwislocze 48, Rzeszow,” the Embassy of India in Poland tweeted. Pictures of the Indian students’ place of stay and other essentials have been shared on social media. “Poland is allowing to enter without any visa all Indian students who escape from Russian aggression in Ukraine,” Ambassador of Poland to India, Adam Burakowski, stated.
Foreign minister S Jaishankar, who is overseeing the evacuation process, tweeted on Sunday that the country sent two charters to Bucharest and one to Budapest to bring back nearly 198 Indian nationals to New Delhi. The Indian embassy in Kyiv has requested Indian citizens against moving to any of the border checkpoints without prior coordination with government officials at border posts.
