“India Will Not Bow to Terrorism”: Kamal Haasan Applauds Government’s Strong Response

Now, actor and politician Kamal Haasan has shared a heartfelt statement on social media, expressing deep admiration for the Indian Army and the government’s firm stance.

In his handwritten note, Kamal Haasan wrote:

“At the moment when the guns fall silent, we must pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that the rest of us may live in peace.”

Saluting the courage of the armed forces, he said:

“I salute our brave soldiers, who stand unwavering at the borders with hearts full of duty. You are the pride of India, protecting our peace and sovereignty with unmatched vigilance.”

He also extended his respect to the people of border states, writing:

“To the people of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat — your patience and strength are extraordinary. Your resilience has made the entire nation proud.”

Emphasizing the unity India has shown during this difficult period, Kamal Haasan added:

“We’ve witnessed a powerful force — the unity of India. Across languages, states, and ideologies, we have stood together, stronger than ever.”

Most notably, he praised the Indian government’s assertive action:

“I appreciate the strong response of the Government of India, which has sent a clear message to the world: India will not bow down to terrorism.”

However, Kamal urged that this moment should not be one of mere celebration, but reflection:

“Victory now calls for awareness. A strong nation must also be a thinking nation. This is a time not just to feel proud, but to rebuild, rethink, and emerge stronger — for a resilient India.”

He concluded with a powerful “Jai Hind”, reinforcing his message of unity, awareness, and patriotism.
