In the first installment of Jailer, popular actors like Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal made impactful cameo appearances. However, there wasn’t any representation from the Telugu film industry, and the makers seem to be addressing that now. A while ago, director Nelson Dilipkumar shared in an interview that he had initially planned to include Balakrishna in the first part, but it didn’t work out.
Exciting developments suggest that Nandamuri Balakrishna, fondly known as Balayya, might feature in Jailer 2 as a powerful police officer. Reports hint that the film could include gripping flashback sequences between Rajinikanth’s character, Muthuvel Pandian, and Balayya’s cop persona. Interestingly, there are discussions about giving Balayya the iconic character name “Lakshmi Narasimha,” referencing one of his previous blockbuster roles.
If these rumors turn out to be true, fans could witness some electrifying mass moments with both Rajinikanth and Balayya on screen, dressed in police uniforms. Although there’s no official confirmation yet, director Nelson is well-known for delivering powerful mass sequences with stylish presentation. This rare combination is expected to be a visual treat for action movie lovers.
Even before half the shooting is completed, the hype around Jailer 2 is so high that Telugu distribution rights are already in huge demand, reflecting the film’s strong market presence even at the production stage.
