The Indian and state governments have ordered higher officials to join duty from today as the first phase of the coronavirus lockdown is nearing its end. Srijana Gummalla the Commissioner of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) in Andhra Pradesh has joined duty with her one-month-old child and has won many hearts for her duty consciousness.
The 2013 batch IAS officer gave birth a month back and had six months maternity leaved which she has foregone to serve the people. Chiguru Prashanth Kumar a
Twitter user shared a pic of the Commissioner working with her baby and wrote, "An extraordinary feather of @IASassociation. 2013 batch IAS Mrs @GummallaSrijana".
Srijana Gummalla has promptly replied "Thanks for the kind words Prashanth garu, Taking every precaution with baby. I keep the baby with me in a very protected environment for feeding and nurturing,". Well if this is not an inspiring and positive news to start the week ahead nothing will be.
