Rajeev Baagdi, an astrologer and numerologist based in Hyderabad, has said that he owns at least five acres of land on Moon. Now that India has launched the Chandrayaan-2 project successfully, he has made the bizarre claim.
As per him, he bought the plot way back in 2005 by paying $140 via a real-estate website based in New York. “I did it with foresight. I know my grandchildren will thank me for it,” Rajeev Baagdi has been quoted as saying. Good try but, no, the dude is wrong.
Nobody can sell (or buy) land in the outer space. International treaties bar such deals. Outer space is for the good of the entire humanity and nobody, including a Puri Jagannadh hero, can do real estate deals on Moon.
