Ahead of the release of Oopiri (Thozha in Tamil) on March 25, Akkineni Nagarjuna says that Karthi stunned him with his dialogue delivery in Telugu. "Many times, I would watch Karthi stunned during the shoot. Even Jayasudha garu told me that she was stunned by Karthi's acting. The way he delivered dialogues in Telugu made me feel ashamed. I was afraid that I may not be able to get that perfection while speaking in Tamil," Nag says.

Karthi was brought on board after NTR walked out of the project because he couldn't allot dates. "Tarak's name was under consideration during the initial stages," says Nag, adding that Karthi will endear himself to the Telugu audience after Oopiri.

"I did not want to dub in Tamil earlier. It was Karthi who encouraged me to dub for my character. He called me up and told me that he will sit by my side to get everything right," says Nag.

In fact, Tamannah has dubbed for her character for the first time in Telugu. For the Tamil version, though, she hasn't dubbed.
