High voter turnout, youths in AP bode well for Jagan, Pawan

The Thursday polling was held for 175 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. About 2,118 candidates were in the fray. As for the 25 Lok Sabha seats, 319 contestants were in the race.

As per the Chief Electoral Officer of the State, the tentative voting percentage in the Telugu State was 74%. Voting went on till 6 PM.

Reports say that youth turnout was palpably high. Who does this advantage? Since youngsters are most likely to drive anti-incumbency vote, it's advantage both Jaganmohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan.

Jana Sena may pull off a surprise among youths, its strongest vote base. Caste-neutral votes might have been polled in a big away by the young party. There was a record turnout in Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram, Pawan Kalyan's constituencies.

AP CM and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu is visibly upset. The tide of change is already noticeable.
