'Saakini Daakini' is the title of the remake of a Korean drama that has been produced by Suresh Productions, Guru Films, and Kross Pictures Film. Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas are headlining the movie.

The Sudheer Varma directorial is going to be released on September 16.

The date will be officially announced later on Tuesday. "Want to know when Shalini and Daamini are coming to your nearest theatres? (sic)," the makers tweeted today. The release date will be made official at 4:05 pm on Tuesday.

Mikey McCleary and Richard Prasad have taken care of music and cinematography, respectively. With Akshay Poolla writing dialogues and adapted screenplay, the thriller has editing by Viplav Nyshadam. Art Direction is by Gandhi Nadikudikar.

Earlier, the movie was expected to be released straight on OTT. But the makers seem to have gained the confidence to release it in cinemas in the changed environment. The comedy-thriller is expected to collect big at the box office. It's coming out in a month where small films are going to be released one after one.
