Is H Vinoth creating a universe just like Lokesh? Director answers

H Vinoth has given two back-to-back hit movies with Ajith Kumar and the young director is waiting for the release of his third movie Thunivu with AK. Vinoth recently gave an exclusive interview to a media channel and revealed many interesting details about the movie and his future plans.

Revealing interesting details about the story of Thunivu he said, ” This movie will be more cinematic than Ajith’s earlier films. It’ll be closer to reality and we’ll come out of the theatre saying, “this can happen to us right?” All the stories saying that this movie is based on a bank heist are false. When I hear ‘Thunivu is about this and that,’ I feel that they are good as well – but, someone can make that movie.”

When the question of him creating a new universe just like Lokesh Kanagaraj he said, “No, no, no! I don’t understand the fantasy genre; that’s not my cup of tea. My USP is films rooted in realism.” Vinoth also revealed that he is planning to take a break after Thunivu and decide on what next.

Thunivu is all set to hit the cinemas on Pongal 2023. The Tamil Nadu distribution rights of the film were acquired by Red Giant Movies, and Lyca Productions holds the overseas distribution rights. The film has Manju Warrier playing the lead lady.
