G.V. Prakash Kumar has sung an energetic song for Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' under the music of his favorite composer , mentor and uncle A. R. Rahman. It is a known fact that the frontline music director turned popular hero is an ardent fan of Vijay whom he considers as an elder brother.

'Mersal' is directed by Atlee whose previous two movies, 'Raja Rani' and 'Theri' had super hit music by GVP and their collaboration continues in the most expected film of the year.
