Actor takes up job as security guard

Bollywood actor Savi Sidhu, who has worked in Anurag Kashyap’s Gulaal and Black Friday, quit his acting career and took up a job as a security guard owing to deteriorating health and financial conditions.

In a five-minute video, the actor explains the struggles he has had to face in the last few years, starting from his declining health condition that derailed his journey in the film industry. He chokes up and holds back tears when he mentions how the deaths of his mother, father, in-laws, followed by the passing of his wife last year distressed and damaged him emotionally. He adds that watching a film is now merely a dream to him, as he can no longer afford a movie ticket.

Despite the struggles, Savi Sidhu puts on a brave face towards the end and states that he is hopeful that he will get back to the cine industry some day in the future when he has enough money saved up to meet the directors and producers.
