Google CEO Sunder Pichai has expressed his disappointment om the proclamation issued by US President Donald Trump regarding the temporary suspension of foreign work visas, which also includes H-1B.
Sundar Pichai had tweeted "Immigration has contributed immensely to America’s economic success, making it a global leader in tech, and also Google the company it is today. Disappointed by today’s proclamation - we’ll continue to stand with immigrants and work to expand opportunity for all", hours after Trump made the announcement.
Earlier on Monday, President Trump issued a proclamation stopping many categories of foreign workers and suspending immigration visas till the end of the year, stating that this will protect U.S. workers suffering from job losses during the coronavirus pandemic.
