Congress leader and Telangana AICC Secretary V Hanumanth Rao on Tuesday took a strong exception to Naga Babu (actor and sibling of the Chiranjeevi-Pawan Kalyan duo) describing Nathuram Godse as a true patriot. In a video message, VHR said that Naga Babu has insulted every Indian by making such a comment on the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi.
"Naga Babu garu, you have hailed Godse as a patriot. When you were into films, you didn't have such views on Godse. Now that you are into politics, you have expressed this view on the assassin of a great man who brought our country freedom without resorting to violence," he started saying.
He added, "Is Naga Babu promoting RSS views? If he continues to speak like this, people will oppose him. It's not proper to hurt people's sensitivities. When the whole world is proud of Gandhi, you have insulted every Indian by glorifying Godse."
He ended the message by warning that Naga Babu will have to face serious consequences if he continues to indulge in such talk.
