Man steals and leaks actress’s nude pics, court’s unexpected decision

Planet earth is well known for a lot of creeps who delve into the personal lives of others doing nasty stuff. Such is the case of the 26 year old George Garofano who hacked into several iCloud accounts including Hollywood diva Jennifer Lawrence’s and leaked them on the web.

Reportedly, the criminal had stolen 240 times in a span of 18 months, kowing full well what he was doing. A federal court in the US has sentenced him to eight months in prison and three years supervised release. But is that enough? Jennifer Lawrence had even likened the crime to that of a ‘sex crime’. 

Even many commentators have opined that this is an unexpected decision as they wanted the punishment to be more severe for such criminals. It is worth noting here that three others have also been arrested pertaining to the case but it is Garofano who will see the least amount of prison time.
