Happening Tollywood production house Geetha Arts today said that it's donating Rs 10 lakh to the Andhra Pradesh government towards flood relief measures. "We have made a humble donation of Rs 10 lakh to Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund to help with the relief measures in flood-affected areas of #TirupatiRains," the banner said in a statement on Wednesday.
Geetha Arts, founded by Allu Aravind, is the first major Tollywood banner to announce the donation. Its founder-producer has also been busy with activities at his OTT app, Aha.
On the film front, the banner awaits the release of 'Jersey' (Hindi) on December 31. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead, its trailer has clocked 18 million views in 24 hours. Allu Entertainment is also remaking 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' in Hindi as 'Shehzada'. Allu Bobby, Aravind's elder son, is producing 'Ghani' currently. Starring Varun Tej in the lead, it might not be released in theatres on December 24 if rumours are to be believed.
