Ganguly on Dhoni’s batting position!

Former Indian Cricket captain Saurav Ganguly has said sending in MS Dhoni at number 4 is the best decision for the team. The Indian cricket team won the third and final ODI against Aussies yesterday by 7 wickets, besides also winning the series 2-1, and this is the first instance of Indian winning a bilateral series in Australia. 

MS Dhoni, who had scored an unbeaten 87 in this match, also was awarded the player of the series, and fans of the cricketer are calling this as a fitting reply to haters. In such a situation, former Indian captain Ganguly, during a recent media interaction said “Dhoni batting at number 4 is good for the team, and it has been a long time since we saw Dhoni batting this way in a series”.

“While his batting in Adelaide was criticized as slow,it was that knock that gave him the confidence to excel in the next two matches, and Jadhav can be sent in regularly at number 5. Following this batting order will work the team, as a player was given an opportunity, and he has proven himself in that opportunity. Kohli and Dhoni can be sent in at number 3 and 4, followed by Jadhav and Karthik. Dhoni arriving at number 4 can help him settle and score runs” said Ganguly.
