Fresh release date of Samantha’s ‘Shaakuntalam’ announced

‘Shaakuntalam’ comes with a renewed release date. Presenter Dil Raju is now firming up plans to release the mythological love story on April 14.

Directed by Gunasekhar, the film stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead. 

With VFX by Alagarsamy Mayan, the film has got stunts by Venkat and King Solomon. The film has music by Mani Sharma. Producer Neelima Guna is looking at a big 2D and 3D release for the movie in multiple languages. 

Mohan Babu plays Sage Durvasa. Also starring Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and Jisshu Sengupta, the film has Allu Arha in a short role. Edited by Prawin Pudi, its cinematography is by Shekar V Joseph. With the lyrics penned by Chaitanya Prasad and Shreemani, the songs have been choreographed by Raju Sundaram.
