The Sunday blasts in Colombo, which killed 290 people and injured at least 500, have seen the death of seven Indians. Of them, four belong to Karnataka and are members of the ruling Janata Dal (Secular).
"I am deeply pained at the loss of our people in the Colombo attacks. Out of the seven missing after the terror attack, four have been declared dead. Their names are: Lakshmana Gowda Ramesh, KM Lakshminarayan, M Rangappa, and KG Hanumantharayappa," HD Kumaraswamy, the chief minister of Karnataka, today said.
"Deeply saddened to hear loss of few Kannadigas who were the victims of terror attacks in Sri Lanka yesterday. My heart goes out to the families of the departed in these cowardly acts of terror. Let us all stand united at this moment of grief and fight back terror," said BJP's BS Yeddyurappa.
