Thalapathy Vijay and MS Dhoni ‘Mersal’ fans at Chepauk stadium

It was a double treat for the cricket loving fans of Thalapathy Vijay, as they were ‘Mersal’ed by the actor’s poster in the scoreboard during the India-Australia first One Day International match yesterday at Chennai’s Chepauk stadium. India beat Australia by 26 runs in this thrilling match.

Actor Vijay’s  poster for his upcoming film ‘Mersal’ appeared on the screen when India was batting. None other than the nation’s beloved ‘Mahi’ Mahendra Singh Dhoni was on the strike when the poster appeared. The stadium erupted into exalted shouts and screams as it was a unique experience having MSD and Thalapathy Vijay sharing the stardom.

Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Mersal’ directed by Atlee under Sri Thenandal Films’s production banner has been using unique methods like Twitter emoji to promote the film and yesterday’s poster promotion in the cricket stadium did not fail to impress as well.
