EXCLUSIVE: Devi Nagavalli on what might have gone wrong, her divorce and more

Devi Nagavalli, who was ousted from Bigg Boss recently, has given an exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz. She opened up about a lot of interesting things.

When asked about life after Bigg Boss, she suggested it's pretty much normal. "People don't remember even title winners for too long. I will be back to normal very soon. A lot of people are telling me they loved me watching in the game. I am glad that I was evicted out of the house before I started to be hated," Devi says.

There are unfounded rumours that Devi got booted out of the house too early because of the TV channel she works for. Some are alleging that the fans of some actors were against her. What does Devi think about all this? "Be it wrong propaganda or people taking my victory for granted, anything may have played out against me. I am not sure if they saw me as individual Devi Nagavalli or as journalist Devi Nagavalli. Many on social media are expressing regret that they didn't vote for me. They thought that I am too strong and therefore, I won't need their voting. They took it for granted. I appeal to voters not to take their favourite contestant's victory for granted," she says.

Who are the Top 5 inmates of the house, as per Devi? "Gangavva (unless she opts out of the game), Noel Sean, Akhil, Abhijeet, Lasya," she answered. "Since Gangavva is an old woman, inmates are desisting from being frank with her out of the fear that their image might turn negative," she ponders.

Does she think Nagarjuna is somehow in favour of Gangavva and Abhijeet? "Gangavva, yes. I don't think the same about Abhijeet. He was chosen as the Maha Nayakudu for performing well in that particular task that day. Nothing more is there to it," Devi says.

She spoke of her disciplined lifestyle in the interview. "Once the lights are off, I go into a deep sleep mode. My mind is clear. When I wake up in the wee hours, I do Yoga, Surya namaskars. I am a teetotaller," she reveals.

Hailing from a conservative family from Rajahmundry, she completed B.Com and did a course in graphics. A year after TV9 was founded, she got attracted to journalism. She lied to her family that she had landed a job at TV9 and came to Hyderabad. It's only after moving to the city that she actually submitted her resume. After marriage, she moved to the US. "I couldn't stay in the US without working. I couldn't have asked my husband to come to India. So, we decided to mutually get separated. I have no regrets," she tells IndiaGlitz.

Is she okay about getting remarried? "If I like the person, yes. It's not like I want to stay unmarried forever. I will also think from my 6-year-old son Kartikeya's perspective," she says.
