Even if I take 100 births, I would still want to be reborn as the actor Rajinikanth!

At the 56th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2025) in Goa, Indian cinema’s Superstar and the beloved hero of a global fan army, actor Rajinikanth, was honoured with the “Lifetime Achievement Award”. Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw and others presented the award to him on stage.

After receiving the award, an emotional yet characteristically humorous Rajinikanth said in his speech:

“I love acting and cinema so much. Even if I get the chance to take 100 births, I would want to be born again as an actor — as Rajinikanth itself! This honour belongs to the entire film industry and everyone in it… especially to the gods who keep me alive — the people (my fans).”

Standing on the Goa stage, Rajini gave a firm and inspiring message to his fans and the film world: “This is not the end… this is just the beginning!” he concluded with his trademark smile.The Goa film festival once again proved that Rajinikanth is not just an actor he is a feeling, a belief, a dream.

Thalaivaa… take as many births as you want… we’ll be waiting for you!
