Locusts have invaded parts of Pakistan, much like India, in recent weeks. And Covid-19 is a huge problem facing the country. Amid the tragedies, a Member of Parliament has commented that eating locusts will cure you of Coronavirus.

The hilarious remark has come from Pakistan's Member of Parliament Riaz Fatyana who also said that eating locusts can boost your immunity. "Eat locusts if you have Covid. Eat them even if you don't have the infection. That way, your immunity will improve," he said.

The funny MP belongs to the ruling party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He suggested that if research backs this "solution", it will be great. "If research proves what I am saying, people will fight the two problems (Covid and locusts) by themselves," he added.

All that one can say is, Pakistan will remain Pakistan.
