Taking Modi-bashing to another level, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to either work sincerely discharge his duties or get away from the seat of power as Prime Minister.
Rahul Gandhi has been launching a scathing attack on various fronts criticizing the BJP-led Centre’s economic policies, the demonetization drive, etc. He has now taken up the escalation of the price in cooking gas cylinder – 19th such escalation during the past 16 months – announced by the Centre and termed it as an assault on the people.
“Cooking gas cylinder’s price is up, commodities at ration shops are high: abandon your empty talk and try to control the rise in prices of essential commodities. Provide employment, do something good to the people; if you are not able to discharge your duties, get away from the seat of power,” Rahul has tweeted on his Twitter account.
This has been re-tweeted by thousands of party cadres and supporters as well as netizens. It may be noted that senior Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has also been highly critical of the Govt. during the past few weeks.
