‘DJ Tillu’ heroine Neha Shetty faces personal tragedy

‘DJ Tillu’ has been running to packed houses all over. In the US, it is expected to easily cross half a million in gross terms. In Nizam, on Day 1, the comedy caper reportedly earned a share of Rs 1.60 Cr.

The film’s heroine, Neha Shetty, meanwhile, is going through a rough patch on the personal front. Two days prior to the theatrical release of her movie, her beloved grandmother breathed her last. Sharing the news via her social media platforms, the ‘Mehabooba’ and ‘Gully Rowdy’ actress dedicated the success of her movie to the departed soul.

In her message, Neha wrote, “I lost my biggest cheerleader and fan – my avva, the one who would always grab the front row seat to all my filmy performances since I was 2 years old. Feb 12th (release date of ‘DJ Tillu’) was a big day. And I am heartbroken that she is not here to share in my joy and success.”

Neha further wrote, “But I look ahead knowing her unconditional love and blessings will always be with me.”

The actress has played a singer in the movie. Headlined by Siddhu Jonnalagadda, ‘DJ Tillu’ is directed by Vimal Krishna.
