Director Bhagyaraj’s harsh criticism of RK Selvamani has caused a great stir in the film industry!

Directors’ Union election is scheduled to take place on February 27 and the candidate introduction meeting of the Bhagyaraj-led Imayam team was held yesterday. Speaking at the inaugural meeting, K Bhagyaraj said that there is an environment where not everyone can contest in the Directors’ Union election as the fee is too high and therefore the fee for contesting elections should be reduced.

Bhagyaraj also promised to launch a YouTube channel exclusively for the Directors’ Union and to ensure that every worker is paid before a film gets the censor certificate. He added, “the existing directors’ union executives could not even be reached by phone but I could be easily reached as I keep the same phone number for a long time.”

Bhagyaraj continued, “Director RK Selvamani has so far earned well and enjoyed his career. Selvamani is scared because I am standing in the election. Everyone says that his films had a good run at the box office. But I suspect whether he directed all those films himself.” He criticised Selvamani very harshly and this speech by Bhagyaraj has caused a great stir.
