Director Vasantha Balan has given many critically acclaimed films such as ‘Angadi Theru’, ‘Veiyil’, ‘Aravaan’ and ‘Kaaviya Thalaivan’. He has completed his new movie ‘Jail’ starring G.V. Prakash Kumar, Radhika Sarathkumar, Abarnathi, Robo Shankar, Bobby Simha and Soori among others. There is a long struggle to release the film which has apparently distressed the ace director.
Vasanthabalan has posted on his Facebook page in Tamil “I stood upside down to catch a producer and the same to make a hero accept my script and then it was a tightrope walk with a firepot on my hand when shooting it. I have endured all that pain but now to release my completed film my life is being sucked out bit by bit.” It’s really a sad state of business in Kollywood that even such an accomplished director is finding it difficult in the market.
