Vishwak Sen’s ‘CULT’ Wraps Up Shoot, Promises a Never-Before Slasher Experience

Vishwak Sen is gearing up to present something distinctly different with his upcoming film ‘CULT’, which he is directing and headlining. Touted as one of the first Indian films to explore the slasher genre on a large scale, the movie is being mounted with a lavish budget and ambitious production values.

The recently released ‘CULT’ teaser has generated considerable curiosity among both audiences and industry circles, setting the stage for what promises to be an intense cinematic experience.

Adding further strength to the project is acclaimed composer Ravi Basrur, known for his work on major pan-India films such as KGF. His songs and background score are expected to be a major highlight of the film.

The makers have now completed the shooting of the movie. Several crucial sequences were filmed over 40–50 days at a specially constructed grand set in Ramoji Film City, featuring hundreds of models. The scale and detailing of these sequences are said to be among the film’s key attractions.

Another major highlight is the dialogue writing by Tharun Bhascker, who enjoys a strong cult following among the Gen Z audience. His distinctive writing style is expected to add another layer to the film’s narrative.

Produced by Sandeep Kakrala under the Tarak Cinema banner, CULT is being made on a grand scale with advanced filmmaking technology. Several experienced technicians from the Indian film industry are associated with the project.

The film’s sound design by Sachin, who has previously worked on films such as Animal, is said to bring a distinctive sonic quality to the intense world created by the makers.

Alongside Vishwak Sen, the film features Gayathri Bharadwaj, Murali Sharma, Sreekanth Iyengar, Pushpa-fame Tarak Ponnappa and Pragathi, among others, in key roles. The movie is being developed in multiple Indian and foreign languages, further underlining its pan-India ambitions.

With its unique genre, large-scale production, powerful technical team and Vishwak Sen at the helm, ‘CULT’ is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on October 30. The makers promise an intense and unprecedented cinematic experience for audiences.
