It's time to welcome yet another debutant with a film background. He is Sameer, son of filmmaker Satish Vegesna, who shot to fame in 2017 with the Sankranthi blockbuster ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi’.
A media report says that Vegesna wants to launch his young son as the lead man of his own directorial. Besides wielding the megaphone, Vegesna is also going to bankroll this yet-to-be-announced venture.
With the pandemic on, Vegesna is still working on the script. He will set the ball rolling once normalcy returns.
The director is yet to see a box-office success since the Sharwanand-Anupama Parameswaran movie. His 2018 outing ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’, starring Nithiin and Raashi Khanna, flopped at the box-office. Vegesna banked on the Gujarati film 'Oxygen' next and remade it as ‘Entha Manchivaadavuraa’. The Kalyan Ram starrer became a bigger flop this Sankranthi.
Allari Naresh's 'Naandhi', a crime thriller, is Vegesna's home production. It will have a direct OTT release soon.
