Is Arya’s next movie planning a direct OTT release?

Actor Arya, who was last seen playing a supporting role in the Suriya starrer Kaappaan directed by KV Anand will be seen next in the fantasy action entertainer Teddy directed by Shakti Soundarrajan.

Produced by Studio Green, Teddy has an animated Teddy bear in a key role in the screenplay and also stars Sayyeshaa, Sathish and Sakshi Agarwal, and director Magizh Thirumeni has reportedly played a negative role in the movie.

Recently there were reports that, just like some recent movies like Penguin, Ponmagal Vandhaal etc, Teddy is planning a direct OTT release. However in a recent interview, Director Shakti Soundarrajan has dismissed this report as a mere rumour and added that Teddy’s theatrical rights were sold much earlier and the movie will release in theatres first.
