Dhruva Sarja, the nephew of “Action King” Arjun, is returning to the silver screen with the highly anticipated Pan-India action thriller “Martin.” Directed by AP Arjun, the film is set to release on October 11th in 13 languages, including several foreign ones. The trailer, released recently, generated positive buzz, building excitement for the film’s release.
At a pre-release event in Hyderabad, Dhruva Sarja made a heartfelt plea to the audience, saying, “I want to be honest. I know there are many talented people waiting for opportunities. Please watch my movie on October 11th. If you think I am not talented, don’t watch my next movie. If you think I have talent, and I have done justice to this movie, then please support it. I have given my best for this film. Watch the movie on the 11th and bless me.”
However, “Martin” has been plagued by controversy since its inception. Director AP Arjun filed a case in the High Court to stop the release of the film, claiming that his name was not being credited properly. Meanwhile, producer Uday Mehta filed a cheating case against the VFX company, alleging financial mismanagement and implicating director Arjun in the dispute. This legal battle adds another layer of complexity to the film’s release.
Despite these challenges, “Martin” is aiming for a grand release in over 3,000 theaters, with more than half of the screens allocated to the North Indian market. However, the film faces stiff competition from Superstar Rajinikanth’s “Vettaiyan,” which is set to release a day earlier.
The success of “Martin” depends heavily on word-of-mouth and critical reception. While it is expected to have a strong opening in Karnataka, the film’s performance in other South Indian markets will be crucial, especially in the face of “Vettaiyan’s” anticipated dominance. The film’s financial recovery and its ability to capture the Pan-India audience will be a significant test for Dhruva Sarja and the entire team.
