Many Tamil classic movies have been remade, and Superstar Rajnikanth's movies are no exception. Dhanush acted in Maapillai, Sundar C acted in Murattu Kaalai and Thala Ajith had acted in Billa, and now Dhanush has expressed his wish to remake another Rajni movie.

Dhanush has said recently that he would love to act in the remake of Superstar Rajnikanth's 1981 classic superhit Netrikann. Directed by SP Muthuraman, Netrikann had story by Visu and screenplay by K Balachander, and had Superstar Rajnikanth playing dual roles as father and son.

The movie had the father character as a playboy and the son reforming him with his counter moves against his father. Lakshmi, Menaka and Saritha were a part of the successful movie. After Dhanush's wish to remake Netrikann, netizens have been suggesting Menaka's daughter Keerthy Suresh to play the female lead in the remake.
