National award winning combo Dhanush and director Vetrimaran, who had scored success with last year’s gangster drama Vada Chennai, the first part of a dark trilogy, teamed up for the fourth time after Pollathavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai for Asuran.
Based on the novel Vekkai by Poomani, Asuran is produced by Kalaipuli S Thaanu’s V Creations and the movie had begun shooting their first schedule which was shot in Tirunelveli and now the second schedule is set to begin tomorrow in Kovilpatti.
Asuran also stars Pasupathi in an important role, while Malayalam actress Manju Warrier makes her Tamil debut with this movie, and director Balaji Sakthivel plays the antagonist character of a cop. Dhanush will be seen in dual roles as father and son, and GV Prakash scores music for Asuran.
