Dhanush is all set to make his directorial debut with his 50th flick, "Raayan," generating buzz in the town. The first looks of the movie today revealed Dhanush in a fierce avatar, wearing a bloodied apron and holding a knife. Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan also carry similar knives in their blood-smeared hands while standing beside him. Sj Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, and Dushara Vijayan play pivotal roles in this revenge drama set in North Chennai.

"Raayan" happens to be the maiden directorial for Dhanush, who has shared his space with an interesting star-cast and technical crew. AR Rahman, our "Isai Puyal," is scoring the music for this film and shooting location at AdityaRam Studios in Chennai, on a grand set featuring 600 houses. It would definitely be eye candy, with tight-holding cinematography and thrilling action sequences. Expect the film to convey a powerful social message of justice and equality.

In "Raayan," Dhanush, a young man, is determined to seek revenge from those responsible for his family's murder, yet the full plot remains shrouded in secrecy. The movie is set to release in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
