Dhanush is one of the most sought after heroes in the Tamil Film industry and is busy with back to back films. The shooting of Dhanush-starrer 'Naane Varuvean' directed by Selvaraghavan began earlier in October and the first schedule of shooting was wrapped up recently.

While the beginning of the film was delayed since both Dhanush and Selavraghavan were busy with their other projects, the latest update about this film is that the final schedule of shooting is expected to begin in the final week of December 2021.

Reportedly Dhanush is expected to play dual roles in this film with actress Indhuja Ravichander of 'Bigil' and 'Magamuni' fame, playing one of the female leads in the film. The shooting of Naane Varuven is planned to be wrapped in January 2022.

Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. 'Naane Varuven' marks the reunion of Selvaraghavan and Dhanush, after films like Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, Thulluvatho Ilamai, and Mayakkam Enna. Dhanush will next be seen in the film, Atrangi Re alongside Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan
