Famous comedian’s name is Dhanush’s next movie title?

Dhanush’s last three movies ‘Vada Chennai’, ‘Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’ and ‘Asuran’ have been huge hits at the box office and also have garnered him high critical praise enough to win the National and International awards.  He has currently wrapped up his 40th film directed by Karthik Subbaraj in one go in London and has returned home.

There is a buzz in Kollywood that ‘D40’ has been titled ‘Suruli’ and the official announcement will be made very soon.  The title is reminiscent of the late comedy actor Suruli Rajan who ruled Tamil cinema before the Goundamani-Senthil era during the seventies and till mid-eighties.  The film is produced by Sashikanth’s Y Not Studios with Aishwarya Lekshmi playing the love interest of Dhanush and Kalairasan and ‘Game of Thrones’ star James Cosmo.  Santhosh Narayanan is scoring the music and the audio and the teaser can be expected in the next few weeks.
