Dhanush is a phenomenal actor who has completed 21 years in cinema. In these two decades, he has won multiple National Awards and let his flag fly high in various film industries. Now, the multi-faceted star is all set to embark upon his 50th project to be bankrolled by Sun Pictures.

We revealed to you well ahead that Dhanush will be donning the director hat for the second in 'D50,' tentatively called Raayan. It is said to be a gangster drama set in North Chennai. While the actor wrapped up the filming for 'Captain Miller' a few days ago, he is now ready to move to his next. He will be seen in his new tonsured head look in the film.

Sources tell us that 'D50' will go on the floors with a muhurat puja on June 5 (tomorrow). The official announcement regarding the project will be made with a new poster or motion poster. SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan are playing pivotal roles in 'D50' with music by AR Rahman.
