The trailer of The Russo Brothers ‘The Gray Man’ was released on Tuesday evening and inside of sixteen hours has garnered 6 million views. It is a total adrenaline rush fare loaded with vehicle crashes of all kinds and sizes and a cat and mouse game between the hero Ryan Gosling playing a secret CIA agent and a demented villain played by Chris Evans.
‘The Gray Man’ has garnered much attention in India due to the presence of the ‘Asuran’ of acting Dhanush. Fans were a tad disappointed as there are only fleeting moments of him in the trailer. The posters of the film however describe him as a “Lethal Force” suggesting he is a pivotal part in the mix.
The Russo Brothers on a Twitter space have opened up about Dhanush’s character in ‘The Gray Man’. At the outset they have stated that they are big fans of Dhanush and wrote the role especially for him as they feel his camera presence is terrific. They call his character mystic and a badass villain who goes after the hero and has two big action sequences that will stun his fans.
The Russo Brothers have promised that if ‘The Gray Man’ goes on to become a hit they will make spinoffs of the characters including Dhanush which has come as massive update for the D hardcores.
‘The Gray Man’ is releasing on Netflix on July 22nd and is the costliest project of the streaming giant till now. The ensemble cast comprises of Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Regé-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard and Billy Bob Thornton.
