Chitralayam Studios is gearing up to release its new-age crime comedy ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ during the Dussehra festive season. Directed by Guni Manchikanti and produced by Venu Donepudi under the Chitralayam Studios banner, the film brings together crime, comedy, eccentric characters and unexpected twists.
The makers have announced that ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ will hit theatres on October 9. Along with the release date, the team also unveiled the first lyrical song, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad launched the song and appreciated its energetic and youthful vibe. He congratulated the team for attempting a unique concept and wished the film a successful theatrical journey.

Electronic Kili and Arcado have composed the track, Kittu Vissapragada penned the lyrics, while Benny Dayal has delivered the energetic vocals.
‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ has another interesting distinction to its credit. It is said to be the first South Indian film to be shot entirely in Meghalaya. The team explored several locations across the state, including the picturesque landscapes of Cherrapunji, giving the film a distinctive visual identity.
The film’s teaser had earlier generated curiosity by introducing its quirky characters and offering glimpses of the unusual situations surrounding the story. The fast-paced treatment, comic elements and unexpected twists have added to the anticipation.
Presented by Donepudi Chakrapani and produced by Venu Donepudi, the film features Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Maryan, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya, Vismayasri, Malvi Malhotra, Kasyap and Raja Ravindra in prominent roles.
