The 'NTR' biopic is back in the news in a peculiar way. Director Deva Katta and producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri on Tuesday took their fight to Twitter with the former alleging that ideas pertaining to the biopic were illegitimately snatched away from him by Induri.
As per the 'Prasthanam' director, he had pitched an idea of NT Rama Rao's biopic to Induri way back in 2015. It was a suggestion that Induri stole the ideas pitched by Katta during that discussion.
The producer came out with a rejoinder. Induri said, "I would like to clear it once and for all that I met Deva Katta for a remake that I had selected, in December 2015. I also narrated the idea of NTR biopic to him with basic screenplay. He liked my idea of NTR biopic. I would like to clear it all that he never narrated anything to me about the biopic."
Deva Katta, sticking to guns, gave a rebuttal. "My dear friend, I think you forgot there was also a witness when I pitched the biopic idea to you in our first meeting itself in 2015!! There are many more in the industry to speak for your lies, so take it easy don’t try too hard!!" the 'Autonagar Surya' director wrote.
What was Induri's reaction to this? The producer said that hardly any idea came from Katta in that discussion. "I do remember we just had only one meeting about working on a remake. It's me who narrated the NTR biopic idea to you in that meeting. I am very clear that you didn't narrate even a single scene to me. On the other hand, I narrated over 40 scenes to you in that meeting," Induri replied.
