A 34-year-old policeman in Delhi, who was posted with the special Staff in Vasant Vihar, allegedly died by suicide hours after posting a video on TikTok.
The constable, identified as Sandeep Kumar, reportedly shot himself in the head with his service pistol inside a police station in Southwest Delhi's Vasant Vihar. He had posted a video on TikTok just hours earlier, where he mentioned that he was feeling depressed as he had apparently let down his family members. "I couldn't be a good son, husband, brother or a good person. This is the truth," Sandeep was heard saying in the video that was found on his phone by the police. However, a suicide note has not been found yet and Sandeep's family members apparently have no clue as to what led him to take the extreme step. "He was inside the office when he must have taken a pistol and shot himself. We took him to the hospital but he died on the way. We don't know how this could have happened, he was happy and energetic. He would often visit my home and meet my children," an inspector who worked with Sandeep reportedly mentioned.
Sandeep Kumar is survived by his parents, wife, and two children. His body was sent to the Safdarjung hospital mortuary, where a coronavirus test was performed on him, following which his body was sent to his family.
