‘Dear Comrade’ has reportedly collected Rs 19 Cr (share) or thereabouts by the end of Sunday (three days). Of this, Rs 13 Cr has come from the Telugu States alone. It’s not up to the mark in markets like Ceded and the US, but the Nizam territory is encouraging. The Vijay Deverakonda film needs to show high potency in the weekdays.
The film was sold for Rs 35 Cr or so. As such, it has to lead the business with superb collections, better than the likes of ‘Majili’, to be able to become a safe project for distributors.
In the wake of the feedback that the romantic-action drama is too lengthy, the makers have trimmed 13 minutes of run-time.
Rashmika Mandanna’s performance and Justin Prabhakaran’s music, among others, have received much praise.
