The long and physically demanding shoot of Pa. Ranjith’s epic period drama ‘Thangalaan’ came to a sweet end on July 4th. The team celebrated by cutting a cake and hero Chiyaan Vikram posting an emotional message “What a journey!! Worked with some of the most amazing people & had some of the most evocative experiences as an actor. Thank you Ranjit for making us live this dream. Every single day.”
British actor Daniel Caltagirone has followed suit from his hometown by sharing unseen BTS pics with the cast and crew on Twitter. He wrote “It’s hard to express my gratitude for the incredible journey on #Thangalaan! The struggles, the laughter, the tears. From friendships forged to mesmerizing artistry created, it’s been mind-blowing. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made me feel so at home in beautiful India. The love I experienced will forever stay in my heart. PS: Dear beard, it’s been real, but I won’t miss you!”
‘Thangalaan’ is produced by Studio Green on a grand scale with G.V. Prakash Kumar scoring the music. The principal cast are Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone and Pasupathi. The film will go into extensive post production and is expected to release on a festive date this year itself.
