Coronavirus: Good news for India is here!

These are frightening times but here is a piece of good news. The Indian Council of Medical Research on Thursday said that 826 random samples tested for Coronavirus at various labs are negative. "None of them are positive so far. We rule out community transmission of COVID-19 in India (so far)," ICMR today said.
Community transmission is Stage-3 of COVID-19 infection. It shouldn't set in. Once it sets in, it will become extremely difficult for a densely-populated country like ours to contain the spread of the virus. At present, India is at Stage-2 (local transmission). Experts are saying that we have a 30-day window period to act on a war-footing.
"ICMR will continue to test random samples from various sites every week. It will also enlarge the sample size to keep a tab on community spread," a report published by CNN News-18 says.
