Actress Meena’s father passes away

Actress Meena’s father Durairaj passed away yesterday due to heart attack. Mr.Durairaj was 67 and is survived by his wife Mallika while Meena is the couple’s only daughter.

Meena was the leading heroine in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam film industries throughout 1990s and she has acted with almost all stars in the four languages. She will be making her comeback in Telugu, with Venkatesh’s ‘Drushyam’, which is going to release in July.

Meena’s father Durairaj was a Tamilian while her mother Mallika was born in Kannur district of Kerala. The couple has been living in Chennai ever since their wedding and has played a vital role on the success of Meena’s career as an actress
