Happy birthday, Superstar Rajinikanth!

Superstar Rajinikanth turns 62 as he celebrates his birthday today (December 12). Rajinikanth is one of the legendary actors in Tamil cinema and is in the league of Sivaji Ganesan and MGR. He is the matinee idol of not just Indians but many others as well who are probably introduced to Tamil cinema through his films.

From a coolie to a bus conductor who participated in stage shows to a villain to an actor, Rajini’s journey to the world of success and super stardom needs no introduction and he is where he is today due to mere hard work and extraordinary style and attitude, all the same while maintaining a simple low profile at personal front.

Today, Rajinikanth will celebrate his birthday with his family and dear ones in Chennai. After recovering from serious illness early this year, this birthday of the Superstar is more special than ever for his millions of fans.

As an ode to the legend, IndiaGlitz along with Tanishq screened ‘Sarithiran’, a short film on Superstar Rajinikanth produced by IG. ‘Sarithiran’ has been directed by Karthik, an assistant of director Venkat Prabhu, in association with Filmaker. Music is by Kiruba and editing by Thiygarajan of ‘Uthamaputhiran’ fame.

The short film was screened at a preview theatre in Chennai, amidst tinsel town celebrities including Rajini’s dear friend – producer cum director Madhesh, Naresh Iyer and Haricharan.
