‘Mounaguru’ from December 16

This weekend it is not just Prashanth starrer ‘Mambattiyan’ we will get to watch in big screen. Making way for a competition in the box-office, there is Arulnidhi’s third venture as a hero, ‘Mounaguru’, which will hit the screens coming Friday (December 16).

“Some of the leading screens in Chennai have been booked for Mounaguru. The scene is no different in other parts of the State too,” trade circles say. The film is produced by MK Thamilarasu, Arulnidhi’s father, under Mohana Movies banner.

Directed by debutant Santhakumar, ‘Mounaguru’ is said to be a thriller. Iniya of ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’ fame is the leading lady, while music is by Thaman. His songs for the movie are already making their presence felt in the audio circuit.

Says Arulnidhi, “Mounaguru will be totally different from my first two films (‘Vamsam’ and ‘Udhayan’). I was doubtful whether I could carry away such a meaty role. But director Santhakumar was confident and he succeeded in convincing me at last.”
