Hopes are high on ?Pathinaru?, which has ?Mirchi? Shiva in the lead, especially after Kalaipuli S Thanu acquired the distribution rights. Reflecting the mood, the protagonist says the film will be an enjoyable fare.

?Pathinaru is an interesting love story. It throws light on a different side of romance. I am happy to be the part of the project,? says Shiva, whose last acting venture was ?Va?, a Deepavali release.

Directed by D Sabapathy (of ?Bharathan?, ?Sundarapurushan? and ?VIP? fame), the film produced by A Siva Sankar has popular Tollywood heroine Madhushalini as the female lead. It will see the light of the day this Friday.

Shiva adds: ?Songs composed for ?Pathinaru? by my good friend Yuvan Shankar Raja will be one of the highlights of the film. I am sure youngsters will love ?Pathinaru? to a great extent.?
